We had a great time with our tri-church Vacation Bible School! Volunteers from Redeemer Lutheran, United Presbyterian, and St. Paul’s Episcopal came together to eat, learn, and grow in Christ. We couldn’t have done it without the many helping hands onsite during the event and the days leading up to it. Thank you to all who made this happen!

Looking around the church, we can see that the new paint on the trim of the church looks great, and we appreciate those who cleaned up around our Blessed Virgin Mary statue. One of our many unsung heroes of the parish is Sam Asseff. At age 86, Sam usually beats me to the office on weekdays, as he cares for the grounds of the church and school during the cool part of the day. Sam is a great treasure of St. Paul’s!

Over the last few weeks, we’ve made some changes in our Sunday worship, so we’re going to make sure that those involved in the service have the opportunity to learn the new patterns and refresh the old. This Sunday, the acolytes and chalice bearers (et al) will meet in the church from 9:30 – 10:15 for training. Education for Ministry (EFM) kicks off this Sunday too! We’ll offer them a special blessing on Sunday and look forward to experiencing the growth that results from spending time learning about Jesus. See y’all on Sunday!

God’s peace,

The Rev. Dr. Nick Funk
